- Yo! Bum Rush The Show (1987) - Click here to read the distinction between "bum rush" and "bum's rush."
This update might whet your appetite. Hopefully, it will also cure any bitterness caused by the April 13 post subtitled, "Flav postpones April 26 Lisa Tolliver Show appearance until June to promote new project." I'd promised: "Not to worry, I'll let you know what time it is." And true to my word, I'm telling you now.
- What: Flav - Public Enemy's "Black-chelor" - will join playwright Ray Aydelott and me
- On air: New York Radio WVOX AM 1460
- Online: www.wvox.com
- The date: June 14, 2006
- The time: 1:00 - 1:45 p.m., Eastern Time
Join us. Flav's got news about his upcoming projects, and maybe Ray will grant permission to tattle about happenings afoot at the Lisa Tolliver Show that he's involved with. Ultimately, as Ray said on air February 8, all will come out of the darkness and into the light.
To avoid telling (too many) tales out of school, I'll just share this. B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on May 7 was jumpin': Ray hung backstage with old friends and new, Public Enemy, Melee Mel and other old school rappers performed, Ice-T emceed and VH1 was rollin' tape for a new reality show. Rap School, hosted by Ice-T and produced by VH1 and RDF Media, will premier September 1, just in time for the fall semester. The show will teach upper East Side preppies to do more than crack the books, learn dead languages, and get their knuckles rapped for playing around. Rather, Rap School participants will learn a new form of expression - bustin' rhymes, study rap history and culture, and practice the deportment of serious playas. Flip through the Rap School Photo Album to see students profiling, signing and demonstrating the gangsta lean.
Join Ray and me on June 14 when we discuss Rap School, Flavor of Love 2 - Flav's new VH1 reality show, and more! As usual, you can hear and share - from anywhere - by phoning the studio at (01) 914 636 0110. ###
