- Job Description: If you like working with kids and helping them learn, become a teacher's aide! You can work hands-on with kids in an elementary school alongside the Americorps education program. Volunteer Aides are needed during school hours -- perfect for students and retired seniors. Teachers aides help increase students performance in the classroom, decrease the student:teacher ratio, and provide a higher quality of education. Volunteers undergo mandated screening process.
